Position: Cost Accountant / Analyst

Company Background: Data Center Supply Chain Solution Company

Working Location: Iskandar Puteri, Johor

Working Hours: Mon – Fri 9am-6pm

Salary Range: Basic RM6,000~RM8,000

Job Description:

• Prepare and analyze cost reports, variance analysis, and cost control strategies.
• Monitor and track production costs, raw material expenses, labor costs, and overhead allocations.
• Assist in developing cost standards for products and services to ensure competitive pricing.
• Review and update standard costs regularly based on market trends and operational changes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, operations, and sales to ensure cost efficiency.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new projects, pricing models, and financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and accounting principles.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including cost reconciliation and reporting.
• Prepare comprehensive costing reports and provide valuable insights to support management decisions and audit processes.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to management.

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor & above or Profession in Accounting and Finance, ACCA, CIMA, CPA
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in costing, accounting, or related fields, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
