Working Hours: Mon – Fri 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-1pm
Salary Range: Basic MYR6,000 – MYR12,000
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Executive/ Officer to oversee the commercial management of our overseas projects in the Malaysia and would focus in South East Asia market in near future. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing bids, managing project contracts, and coordinating with various departments to ensure the smooth execution of projects. This role requires strong communication skills in Chinese, English, and Malay, as well as experience in handling large-scale international business operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop competitive bids and proposals, considering the best available solutions and commercial aspects.
- Prepare project quotations, estimates, and bids, including pricing and trade terms.
- Manage external services for bid preparation, such as translations and government approvals.
- Collect and archive bid-related documentation and decisions.
- Report bid/estimate status and analyze tender outcomes.
- Identify potential risks in bids and contracts.
- Negotiate terms and conditions (T&C) with customers.
- Oversee commercial management of overseas projects (HQ, branches, and international business units).
- Manage supply and installation contract processes, including drafting, invoicing, payments, and import clearance.
- Coordinate with procurement, technical, and project teams for seamless project execution.
- Conduct business negotiations and client engagements.
- Handle engineering-related commercial bidding.
- Execute responsibilities and tasks as delegated by management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or higher in business, electrical, or mechanical engineering-related fields.
- Experience handling large-scale overseas business orders. Proven experience in independently managing engineering project bids, specifically for projects valued at over ten million.
- Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively in a multilingual environment.
- Strong coordination skills across multiple departments.
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in Excel and ERP software (Kingdee or UFIDA).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with strong communication and execution skills.
- Strong teamwork spirit, professional ethics, and ability to handle work pressure.
- Experience in the electrical and mechanical industry preferred.
